Nix Medical Healthcare System, a subsidiary of Prospect Medical, is seeking a full-time inpatient adult psychiatrist to join its collaborative team of physicians in San Antonio, Texas. Nix is a well-respected leader in mental health that features 161 psychiatry beds, 18 addiction medicine beds and 32 psychiatric emergency beds. Nix is also a leader in the mental health community with law enforcement crisis intervention training (CIT) and a psychiatric emergency service.
You will enjoy all the benefits of working in an inpatient position within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and behavioral healthcare providers. The daytime work schedule is Monday through Friday with shared rotation call coverage of 1:5 that supports the psychiatric emergency room and inpatient units. Nix Healthcare System is comprised of three hospitals that combine for more than 294 beds and exceptional medical staff members.

CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• BC/BE psychiatrist licensed (or soon eligible) in the state of Texas
• Current Federal DEA and Texas controlled-substance license (or soon eligible)
