The Division of Hematology/Oncology at Roger Williams Medical Center, a major teaching affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine, is recruiting full-time Physician, Director of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to provide clinical, academic, and research services and lead the expanding BMT & Cellular Therapy Program.

Roger Williams is home to Rhode Island’s only full-service BMT program and is fully accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). Our BMT program performs autologous, related, unrelated, cord blood, and haploidentical stem cell transplants and is approved for commercial and investigational CAR-T cell therapies. Applicants must be ABIM board certified in Hematology, must have completed BMT fellowship training from an accredited training program, and possess a minimum of 5 years of prior BMT practice experience. The successful candidate will have a track record of proficiency in the management of BMT and cellular therapy patients as well as demonstrated leadership and administrative achievements. Clinical responsibilities will include providing outpatient and inpatient BMT services at the institution. Administrative responsibilities will include oversight of the stem cell laboratory, development of quality initiatives, expansion of clinical programs, and maintenance of current and future program accreditations.

The Cancer Center at Roger Williams provides the full spectrum of multidisciplinary care with Surgical Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Interventional Radiology services on site. The Hematology/Oncology Division serves patients from Rhode Island and coastal Massachusetts and has a long-standing ACGME-accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program. The successful candidate will participate in research activities and will also be involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.   • BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist with bone marrow transplant experience.
  • Current Federal DEA and Rhode Island controlled-substance license (or eligible)
