Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) is seeking a full-time faculty physician to join its highly regarded and expanding family medicine residency program, the only program in Connecticut east of the river. The program is sponsored by Manchester Memorial Hospital, and is anchored by a stellar faculty physician team with an outstanding community-focused clinical site for residents /medical students to train. The physician will possess a passion for teaching, a strong interest in developing curriculum, and is clinically successful in placing resident education/training and patient care at the forefront. You will enjoy working alongside this supportive and collaborative physician community Monday through Friday during daytime business work hours. Your schedule consists of 40% precepting residents, 40% managing your own patient panel and 20% for administration time. Academic appointments are available through the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. The program is ACGME accredited.
ECHN is an extraordinary community hospital system, the two well-respected acute-care hospitals (Manchester Memorial and Rockville General) with a medical staff comprised of approximately 500 physicians and advanced practitioners. ECHN features cutting-edge technology, a skilled/subacute facility, multiple outpatient services centers, and state-of-the-art cancer care center. ECHN’s prominent family medicine residency program supported by top talent experienced faculty physicians. The hospital system has the latest in robotic surgical systems, including the new MAKO robotic assisted knee/hip replacement system and the Xi da Vinci robot, along with many other highly regarded programs, including the Women’s Center for Wellness.
